HAMILTON Actress Renée Elise Goldsberry Joins Marvel's SHE-HULK Series
Renée Elise Goldsberry (Girls5eva, Hamilton) is set to co-star opposite Tatiana Maslany in Marvel’s upcoming series She-Hulk series for Disney+.
Goldsberry will end up playing a character named Amelia. There are no details on the character, but the actress also joins Ginger Gonzaga who is playing Walters’ best friend. Avengers star Mark Ruffalo will also reprise his role as The Hulk and Tim Roth is reprising his role as The Abomination.
The series centers on Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk, who is the cousin of Banner. She receives a blood transfusion from him, which is how she ends up with her Hulk powers. Walters is also a lawyer and the series is said to be a legal comedy.
Kat Coiro (Dead To Me, Shameless, Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is set to helm the pilot along with several other episodes. She will also serve as an executive producer. Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao leads the writer’s room for the series.
