HAMSTER & GRETEL Gets a Release Date and New Trailer
I’m very excited for the upcoming series Hamster & Gretel from Dan Povenmire on Disney Channel. It was recently announced the anticipated show will launch on Disney Channel on August 12 and we got a new trailer with the announcement. Also, some recurring characters were announced like Bailey who is Gretel’s best friend voiced by Priah Ferguson (Stranger Things), news reporter Veronica Hill who is voiced by Liza Koshy (Liza on Demand), the evil sibling duo Lauren and Lyle a.k.a. The Distructress and Fistpuncher voiced by Alyson Stoner (Phineas and Ferb) and Brock Powell (Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe) respectively, and Akintoye will voice Kevin’s buddy Anthony. Other guest stars to occur will include Jenny Lorenzo (Victor and Valentino) as Carolina’s mother Abuelita, Karina La Voz as La Cebolla, Thomas Sanders (Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe) as Neighslayer, Casey Hamilton (Merry Happy Whatever) as the substitute teacher Mr. Chabner, and Adam Rose as an evil jingle writer The Earworm.
"Hamster & Gretel" introduces Kevin and his younger sister, Gretel, who are about to be bestowed superpowers by space aliens. But something goes awry, and it's Gretel and her pet hamster (named Hamster) who suddenly have new abilities. Now, protective older brother Kevin must figure out how to work with both Gretel and her pet, Hamster, to protect their city from mysterious dangers.
Hamster & Gretel stars Meli Povenmire as Gretel, Michael Cimino (Love, Victor) as Kevin, Beck Bennet (SNL) as Hamster, Joey King (Kissing Booth) as their cousin Fred, Matt Jones (Bob Hearts Abishola) as their easygoing dad Dave, and Carolina Ravassa (Maya and the Three) as their charismatic mom Carolina. I’m excited for August 12.
