HAMUND'S HARVESTING HANDBOOK Is Another D&D Supplement to Introduce Harvesting Rules

Some players in Dungeons & Dragons want that sweet, sweet loot. However, there are times where it doesn’t make sense for an enemy to have loot (why would a pack of wolves have anything of value on them?) that players are looking for. This has led to several fans creating their own rules for harvesting parts of enemies such as talons and scales.

Hamund’s Harvesting Handbook is one such tool from Jeffrey Yang. Yang took each unique monster from the Monster Manual and created a loot table for them. It even makes things fairly simple by assigning DCs (Difficulty Checks) for each item and when you roll a Harvesting check, you get all the materials with DC lower than or equal to your roll.

What do you do with these materials once you harvest them though? Well, Yang has also created more than 200 items that can be crafted from these materials. If you want to include rules for harvesting in your campaign, this looks like an unofficial supplement to at least consider.

You can purchase Hamund’s Harvesting Handbook on DMs Guild for $9.99.
