Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren Will Star in Taylor Taylor Sheridan’s YELLOWSTONE Prequel Series 1932

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are set to star in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Yellowstone prequel 1932, and I freakin’ love this casting! These two actors are going to fit right into this western world that Sheridan has created.

The new series is set in 1932, and follows the Dutton family during a time of Prohibition, the Great Depression, and westward expansion. There still aren’t really any story details to share for the series, but I have no doubt that it’s going to be great, especially with Ford and Mirren leading the cast!

I loved the story that was told in 1883, which followed the Dutton family as they made their way to Montana where they set up their Yellowstone Ranch. I love that Sheridan is expanding on the lore of the Dutton family.

1932 is one of nine shows Sheridan is developing. In addition to 1932 and Yellowstone, he is also working on on a second season of Mayor of Kingstown starring Jeremy Renner, Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone and Lioness starring Zoe Saldaña.

Ford and Mirren previously worked together on the ‘80s film Mosquito Coast and when previously talking about working with Ford on that film, Mirren said he was “the nicest, sweetest guy you could want to meet. But he can’t kiss–he finds it impossible to kiss on screen. He’s probably not very good off screen either.” Will the two kiss in this series? We’ll just have to wait and see.

1932 will premiere on Paramount+ in December 2022.
