Harrison Ford Confirms INDIANA JONES 5 Will Start Shooting in Two Months!

We know that Disney and Lucasfilm have been developing Indiana Jones 5 for some time now. Steven Spielberg will be back to direct the movie, and Harrison Ford will reprise his role again! While making the press rounds for Call of the Wild, Ford offered an update on where the film currently stands, and he revealed that the film will start shooting in two months!

CBS Sunday Morning asked what the most difficult thing is about returning to Indiana Jones at the age of 77, and Ford jokingly said it’s trying not to look silly riding around in tight pants and high boots. He went on to say:

“I’m always delighted to come back to these characters. You know, when we have the opportunity to make another it’s because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure that our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started. You have a sense of responsibility to your customers.”

Ford goes on to explains that he prefers to call Indiana Jones fans customers because calling them fans is weird to him, which I think is hilarious:

“I think of the people that go to my movies more as customers than I do as fans. Fans feels kind of weird to me, but always has. But the fact that these people support my business and I’m responsible to them for the quality of the service that I offer, that feels better to me.”

He can call the fans whatever he wants. I’m just excited that he’s coming back to make at least one more Indiana Jones movie and I can’t wait to see what archeological adventure this new story takes him on! No story details have been revealed, but we’ll find out in the near future!

David Koepp wrote the screenplay for the film, and it’s slated for release on July 9, 2021. Are you excited the the the movie is going into production soon!?

In this preview of a conversation with correspondent Lee Cowan to be broadcast on "CBS Sunday Morning" on February 16, Harrison Ford, the actor who has played iconic characters in the "Star Wars" and Indiana Jones franchises, talks about returning to familiar roles.
