Harrison Ford in Stable Condition Following Plane Crash

Actor Harrison Ford crash landed an airplane on a golf course in Los Angeles this afternoon around 2:30pm after taking off from the Santa Monica Airport. The crash was reportedly due to a mechanical failure of some sort, and Ford walked away from the crash after hitting a tree on the way down to the golf course. (He apparently tried to turn around and return to the airport, but couldn't make it.) Ford left the scene "conscious and breathing" and was listed as being in critical condition immediately following the crash, but a press conference afterwards said the actor was "stable" and being treated at a local hospital.

Ford, a longtime pilot of helicopters, planes, and more, has been in crashes in the past, and was most recently injured on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We wish him a speedy recovery, and hope he's feeling well.
