Harrison Ford Says He Only Wants to Make Another INDIANA JONES Film If They Can Kill It Like Marvel

Harrison Ford is no stranger to sequels. He has starred in some of the greatest sequel movies of all time, and continues to do so, but doesn’t go into the process lightly. We’ve all heard that he is coming back to star in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5, but Ford recently spoke to heyuguys about his expectations for the film, and he’s not coming on to make just any sequel. He said:

“I don’t really want to give them what they want to see, I want to give them something they didn’t anticipate. They are used to a degree of disappointment when you revisit. Certainly, the Marvel movies have made a spectacular example of a success of worked the other way around, they killed it! Well, we’re not going to make another Indiana Jones unless we are in a position to kill it. We want it to be the best. We’ve got some scheduling issues and a few script things to do but we are determined to get it right before we get it made.”

That’s awesome! Between Ford returning to the starring role, Steven Spielberg directing, and George Lucas co-writing, they absolutely have the right crew on board to bring fans the best sequel yet! Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2021. Are you hopeful for a great new Indy film?
