Harrison Ford's Wonderful Film THE CALL OF THE WILD Drops on VOD Today!

Disney and 20th Century Studios feature film adaption of Jack London’s The Call of The Wild was a fantastic film! The movie wasn’t doing so well at the box office in the theaters before the coronavirus hit, so I know a lot of people didn’t see it. Well, now is your chance! The movie is available to watch on VOD today, Friday, March 27th.

I personally loved the film and thought that it was a great adaptation of the classic story. Harrison Ford also gave a wonderful performance in the film in the role of John Thornton. It’s one of those movie roles that he was a perfect fit for. I also really liked the style of the film. It was directed by animation director Chris Sanders, and while the movie was shot in live-action, the way it was shot and directed made it feel like an animated film. The dogs in the film were CG, but they were created extremely well.

The Call of the Wild will be cheaper to watch than many of the other recent films getting early digital releases. Most other film will cost $19.99 but this movie will be available to purchase for just $14.99 when it arrives on Friday on Amazon, VUDU, iTunes, and more.

The Call of the Wild “vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.”

Searchlight Pictures has also released the Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus film Downhill, and it will cost $9.99 to watch.

After barely escaping an avalanche during a ski vacation in the Alps, a couple is forced to reevaluate their lives and how they feel about each other.

Will you be checking out either of these movies over the weekend?
