HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD To Premiere In Germany For First Non-English Language Production

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been running wild on Broadway for quite a while now, and now it's finally going to make its debut in a language other than English. Beginning in 2020, Variety reports the production will make its premiere in Germany with the dialogue being adapted to, you guessed it, German.

The continued success of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is not surprising as the production cleaned up at the Tonys with six awards including Best Play. I still haven't seen it yet, but I say that like I've attended a musical that wasn't a school production a sibling was in ever in my life. Those who have seen the play, is it worth the hype?

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
