HARRY POTTER Characters Get Transfigured into Official Anime Chibi
Harry Potter is a franchise that has taken the world by storm and continues to do so without the help of Disney. I know, that sounds like an impossible feat, but they’ve done it. And now Warner Brothers has official anime versions of the Harry Potter characters for merchandise in Japan. Not only are they anime, they are chibi versions which makes them adorable as heck. There are 12 different little cards or files available to start with hopefully more on the way. The original set of cards features the following characters: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Fred and George, Snape, Dumbledore, Sirius, Lupin, James Potter, Buckbeack, and Hedwig. The animals are the most adorable in my opinion, but I do wonder where the girls are. Where’s Ginny or Luna or Lilly Potter? Where’s my chibi McGonagall? We all know that would be the best one ever! They cost about $3.15 (about 350 yen) and in the spring the line will expand to other items including pins, rubber straps, and keychains.
Unfortunately, these will be exclusive to Japan, so those of us in the states will have to import them from a site like Movic or take a trip to Japan to get them if we really want them. Which picture is your favorite? Who do you want to see on a card?
