HARRY POTTER Series: Warner Bros. Reveals First Look at Harry, Ron, and Hermione Actors

Warner Bros. has officially announced the young leads of its upcoming Harry Potter series reboot. The new series, which promises to be a more faithful, long-form adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s original books, has finally unveiled its core trio, along with a first-look photo.

Dominic McLaughlin will take up the iconic round glasses and lightning scar as Harry Potter; Arabella Stanton steps into the brilliant, bold shoes of Hermione Granger; and Alastair Stout rounds out the trio as Ron Weasley.

While these names might not be familiar yet, they soon will be, as this generation of fans will watch them grow up, just as we did with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

They all look like they will be great in their roles! This is going to be a wild ride for these young actors, and its sure to be an incredibly fun and cool experience for them! There’s no doubt it’s also going to be a lot of hard work.

They will join the previously cast Janet McTeer (The Old Man, Kaos) who will play Professor Minerva McGonagall, with Paapa Essiedu (The Lazarus Project) taking on the role of Professor Severus Snape. Then there’s John Lithgow, who will step into the role of Albus Dumbledore.

This new show is still early in development and this is going to be a huge and ambitious project. These three actors are stepping into roles that defined a generation of filmgoers. But the promise of a full-season-per-book format will give them space to explore these characters in deeper, more nuanced ways, allowing the show to live alongside the films, not just in their shadow.

Let the magic begin.
