Hasbro Reveals New LAST JEDI Black Series Action Figures For Force Friday II
Christmas comes twice a year for Star Wars fans, the first time is Force Friday and thanks to Hasbro we're getting a good look at some of the new figures that will be hitting stores shelves between now and December when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters.
Force Friday II is the massive Star Wars merchandising extravaganza that launches starting at midnight Sept. 1. It gives the die-hard fans the chance to get their hands on some figures before everyone else.
THR's Heat Vision got an exclusive look at a line of Hasbro’s Force Friday figures, including the company’s prestigious Black Series six-inch figures.
The first figure standout looks to be the First Order Stormtrooper Executioner figure. This one will be exclusively available at Target and retail for $19.99. This trooper's duty is to “dispense final justice to those who feign loyalty to the First Order." Fans are already speculating that Finn (John Boyega) will have to face them for deserting the First Order in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Hasbro also has a First Order Stormtrooper with an entire aresenal, eight accessories, to be exact and comes in a unique style of packaging. This one is an Amazon exclusive and will sell for $34.99.
Meanwhile, Toys R Us will have an exclusive of its own, the toy giant is selling a Black Series Admiral Ackbar and First Order Office Two-Pack for $39.99.
But wait, there's more...Hasbro gave iO9 and exclusive look at even more Black Series figures coming this fall. The first is giving us our first head-to-toe look at what Supreme Leader Snoke will look like. This detailed figure that even comes with its own throne, will be available exclusively at Gamestop this Fall for $35.
Presumably standing by Snoke's side in the up coming Last Jedi, will be a few of these guys. The 6" Elite Praetorian Guard is exclusive to Amazon and will sell for about $20. This very red figure comes with both a sword and a long, heavy blade
And if one is not enough, and you're a fan of history this next exclusive pack is for you. The “Guardians of Evil” set exclusive to Barnes & Noble, Gamestop, and Disney Stores. It'll set you back about $80, but this pack of 6" figures spans the history and evolution of the Royal Guard design in the Star Wars saga, from the blue-clad Senate Guards of the prequels, all the way up to another Last Jedi Praetorian.
Trying to get all these figures is surely going to kill your pocket book, but speaking of death, who could resist this last figure. Even Walgreens is getting its own exclusive, this very dead and very translucent version of Obi-Wan Kenobi will sell for about $20. It is based on his appearance in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
One very last items of business, if you are seriously considering picking up all of this Hasbro exclusive on Force Friday, our friends at Yakface.com have put together a very helpful and comprehensive checklist of all the figs you're nerdy heart desires.
