Hasbro Reveals New STAR WARS Toys: Vintage Collection, Black Series, Celebrate The Saga, and Palpatine's Lightsaber

Last Friday, Hasbro unveiled a slew of new Star Wars toys as part of their Hasbro Pulse Fan First Friday event. The items revealed included the Black Series, the Vintage Collection, and Celebrate the Saga. That last line seems to be a temporary replacement for the typical play-friendly 3.75” toys. I say temporary because last year, there were no figures released in this size/category, and according to StarWars.com, these toys revealed now will only be available for a limited time leaving some to speculate that this is it.

The Vintage Collection

The additions to the Vintage Collection include a hallway set for Tantive IV, a figure for everyone’s favorite Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka, and a new Darth Vader sculpt. The Hondo figure has been made to be closer in likeness to the character at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the new Darth Vader sculpt comes to celebrate five years of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The Tantive IV Hallway will be available early 2021 for $49.99 (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart), Hondo is coming this December for $12.99 (Hasbro Pulse, Walmart), and Darth Vader will be available in January for $12.99 (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart).

The Black Series

For fans of the more collectible Black Series, you’ll be able to grab a Clone Trooper Phase 1 Lieutenant from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones from Walgreens on September 15. The Electrostaff Purge Trooper from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available only at GameStop for $24.99 with an expected release of October. Finally, fans can pre-order the Emperor Palpatine Force FX Elite lightsaber for $249.99 with a release date of December (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Best Buy, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart).

Celebrate the Saga

In this line, fans will be able to purchase eight 5-packs of figures separated by faction. They’ll all be available for $29.99 in November. The Jedi Order (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart) includes Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and R7-A7; the Galactic Republic set (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart) includes 501st Legion Trooper, Phase I Clone Trooper, Shock Trooper, Commander Cody, and OOM-10; the Bounty Hunters (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart) include R5-P8, Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Bossk, and IG-88; the Galactic Empire features TIE Fighter Pilot, Snowtrooper, Stormtrooper Squad Leader, and Scout Trooper; Rebel Alliance includes R2-D2, Han Solo (Bespin), Princess Leia (Hoth), Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight); the Sith pack (Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Walmart) includes Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Emperor Palpatine, and TC-4; The First Order includes Flametrooper, Captain Phasma, General Hux, First Order Trooper Officer, Mouse Droid, and BB-9E; and The Resistance includes Poe Dameron, Rey, Finn, C-3PO, BB-8, and a Porg.
