Haunting New Trailer Released For The Horror Thriller WINCHESTER
If you're a fan of ghost stories and haunted houses, there's no doubt that you've heard about the Winchester Mystery House located in San Jose, California. I've been fascinated by this place ever since I was a kid and because of that, I'm wicked excited about this movie coming out that will tell the dark and creepy story of the house and the woman who was instructed by ghosts to build it. The thought of ghosts telling a woman to keep building on to her house to appease the spirits of the people who were killed by the Winchester rifle is definitely a creepy one and it's going to make for a good movie.
The film is called Winchester and it looks great and this new trailer is awesomely creepy! The movie also boasts a fantastic cast that includes Helen Mirren, who was perfectly cast in the lead role of Sarah Winchester, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook and Angus Sampson. Here's the synopsis:
Inspired by true events. On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits the most haunted house in the world. Built by Sarah Winchester, (Academy Award winner Helen Mirren) heiress to the Winchester fortune, it is a house that knows no end. Constructed in an incessant twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week mania for decades, it stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms. To the outsider it looks like a monstrous monument to a disturbed woman’s madness. But Sarah is not building for herself, for her niece (Sarah Snook) or for the brilliant Doctor Eric Price (Jason Clarke) whom she has summoned to the house. She is building a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts, and the most terrifying among them have a score to settle with the Winchesters…
The film was written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Predestination, Daybreakers), and it's set to be released on February 2, 2018. Have you ever been to the Winchester Mystery House? Every time I'm up in that area I have to go!
