Haunting Trailer For LaKeith Stanfield's Fairytale Horror Series THE CHANGELING
Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming fairytale horror series The Changeling. The series is based on the acclaimed best-selling book of the same name by Victor LaValle, and the story is described as “a fairytale for grown-ups, a horror story, a parenthood fable, and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.”
This looks like a great series that is going to tell a dark, intense, and thrilling story. The series follows Apollo and Emma and their love story is a fairy tale… until Emma mysteriously vanishes. Apollo then finds himself on “a death-defying odyssey through a New York City he didn’t know existed.” The whole nightmarish journey begins when Emma meets an old woman by a lagoon in Brazil and that old woman granted her three wishes.
The eight-part series stars LaKeith Stanfield (Haunted Mansion) and he’s joined by Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson, and special guest star Malcolm Barrett.
The Changeling is written and adapted by showrunner and executive producer Kelly Marcel, and the pilot episode was directed by Melina Matsoukas. The series will make its debut with the first three episodes on Friday, September 8, 2023 on Apple TV+. Enjoy the haunting trailer!
