Haunting Trailer For Paramount+'s Mystery Horror Series THE BURNING GIRLS Starring Samantha Morton
Paramount+ has released the first intriguing trailer for its upcoming mystery horror drama series The Burning Girls. The series stars The Walking Dead alum Samantha Morton and Ruby Stokes (Bridgerton), and the story is set in a village haunted by a dark and turbulent history. I like this kind of stories and this looks like it’ll be a great series that I’d enjoy.
In the series, “When a female vicar and 15-year-old daughter move to Chapel Croft in the hope of a fresh start, their new beginning gets off to a bad start as they find the village is rife with conspiracies and secrets.” These conspiracies and secrets revolve around two young girls who were burned at the stake in the town.
The movie was based on C.J. Tudor’s novel, and it was adapted by Hans Rosenfeldt (Marcella), with Charles Martin (Skins) and Kieron Hawkes (Ripper Street) directing. The cast includes Conrad Khan (Peaky Blinders), Rupert Graves (Sherlock, Emma), Elodie Grace Orkin (Stranger Things), Janie Dee, David Dawson (The Last Kingdom), Paul Bradley (EastEnders), Jane Lapotaire (The Crown, Marie Curie), Jack Roth (Bohemian Rhapsody), Mollie Holder (Sanditon), Safia Oakley-Green (The Origin, Sherwood), Beth Cordingly (Learning to Walk Again), and John Macmillian (House of Dragon).
The Burning Girls premieres on Paramount+ in the U.K. on October 19. There’s no confirmation on a U.S. debut.
