HAWKEYE Actress Hailee Steinfeld Addresses Rumors That Kate Bishop Will Return to the MCU in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Hailee Steinfeld made a big splash as the sidekick Kate Bishop in the Marvel series Hawkeye, but we’ve only seen her since in at the end of The Marvels when Ms. Marvel set out to assemble a team of Young Avengers (now known as Champions), and she sought out Bishop a la Nick Fury.

While the young team of Champions has not yet come together, many assume they will appear in the event ensemble film Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to host MANY of the world’s finest heroes.

Steinfeld commented on the rumor in a recent interview with Backstage, where she said:

"I’m excited about the idea of continuing to grow with a character like Kate, especially in something as huge as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You get to go back to your family; you get to go back to that little home that then becomes part of this grander picture. I love that character, and I totally understand why she is so loved."

It has also been widely reported that Hawkeye will get a second season. Many have claimed that Clint's brother, Barney/Trickshot, will play a major role and that the season will be inspired by The Raid, with Kate and Clint stuck in one location.

We will just have to wait and see. I look forward to the return of Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop in any capacity.
