Hawkgirl Accidentally Calls Superman “Spider-Man” In A Hilarious SUPERMAN Outtake
The summer box office had plenty of heavy hitters, but David Corenswet’s debut in Superman stood as one of 2025’s biggest wins. The movie pulled in more than $615 million worldwide and earned strong praise from critics.
Its big screen run may be wrapped, but fans can dive back into the DC Universe’s first chapter at home through digital and physical releases or by streaming it on HBO Max.
One of the perks of owning it is getting access to the outtakes, and among them is a moment that has quickly become a fan favorite.
In one of the funniest slip ups in the outtake reel, Isabela Merced, suited up as the DCU’s Hawkgirl, accidentally refers to Superman as Spider-Man.
The moment was captured during a wire stunt when Merced was being lowered down and almost collided with Corenswet, who was wearing the full Superman suit. The video comes courtesy of @AxelTalksFilm, and it shows Merced blurting out Spider-Man’s name before she realizes what just happened.
The near miss prompts Corenswet to playfully fire back in a British accent, delivering the full line, “I beg your pardon?” The exchange instantly breaks the scene and both actors laugh it off. Given the awkward landing Merced was already dealing with, this was destined to land in the outtakes anyway.
