HAWKGIRL Spinoff TV Series In Development at The CW

TV The CWHawkgirlDC by Joey Paur

We got our first glimpse at Hawkgirl in the trailer for the upcoming CW series Legends of Tomorrow and for a split second in the season finale of The Flash. Now according to Spoiler TV, she may actually be getting her own spinoff series. Apparently, the series is in the early stages of development, and Ciara Renée will reprise the role.

The character’s "real" name is Kendra Saunders, and she has been described as a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. Here’s the report from the site:

SpoilerTV has learned that The CW is planning a separate Hawkgirl TV series starring Ciara Renée. The project is currently in very early stages of development. If The CW decides to move forward with it, it will most likely bypass the pilot stage and get a straight to series order.
It is unclear if the series will be set before or after the events of The CW's upcoming TV series Legends of Tomorrow.

The CW has been doing well with the great superhero series they’ve developed, and I think this completely unexpected series could be incredibly cool. There's a lot of potential to play with in a series like this, and maybe we’ll find out more about it at Comic-Con next month.

What do you think about the concept of a Hawkgirl TV show?
