Hayley Atwell Joins Tom Cruise in Next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Film
Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) is joining Tom Cruise in the next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise. News of the casting came directly from writer and director Christopher McQuarrie who posted the following on his Instagram account:
Well, it looks like she accepted! There’s no word on what kind of character she is going to be playing in the story, but I love that Atwell is going to be joining the franchise! I think it’s be cool and different if she ended up playing a villain in the story. But regardless, she’s going to be great.
There are two more Mission: Impossible films in development that will continue Ethan Hunt’s journey and McQuarrie is helming both of them. The seventh film will be released on July 23rd, 2021, while an eighth installment will be released on August 5th, 2022.
I’ve enjoyed the Mission: Impossible franchise and I’m excited about how the story plays our over the course of these next two movies. Are you excited that Atwell is going to be a part of the franchise?
