HBO Developing a GAME OF THRONES Jon Snow Sequel Series with Kit Harrington

HBO is developing a Game of Thrones sequel series that will focus on the character Jon Snow, and Kit Harrington is set to reprise his role. In my opinion, there were a lot more interesting characters in Game of Thrones to expand on than Jon Snow. He was always one of the least interesting characters for me, but he does have a fanbase.

In the final season of Game of Thrones, Snow discovered his true identity as Aegon Targaryen, and he could be an heir to the Iron Throne. At the end of the series he was exiled from Westeros, and he traveled into the Haunted Forest, North of the Wall, with Ghost and the Wildlings to start a new life.

With the series taking place after the events of Game of Thrones, there’s always a chance that we could see other familiar characters return such as his half-siblings Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and others.

The project is in early development, and now there are a total of seven Game of Thrones projects in the works, some of which include the House of the Dragon prequel series, 10,000 Ships a.k.a. Nymeria with showrunner Amanda Segel, 9 Voyages a.k.a. The Sea Snake with showrunner Bruno Heller, and Dunk and Egg with showrunner Steve Conrad. There are also three animated prequel projects, including The Golden Empire, which is set in the China-inspired land of Yi Ti.
