HBO Is Streaming Francis Ford Coppola’s 7-Hour Remastered THE GODFATHER EPIC
Well, I know what I'm going to be watching today! The Godfather Epic is the ultimate cut of Francis Ford Coppola's legendary films The Godfather and The Godfather Part II edited together in chronological order. It also features additional footage not included in the theatrical cuts of the films. The length of the film clocks in at 424 minutes long, which is just over seven hours!
There was a similar cut of the films like this that aired once on NBC in 1979, but it was censored and had commercials. There was also a shortened version released on VHS in 1981. But the version that HBO has released in the best cut that you're going to get. It comes uncensored, with additional footage, and of course, no commercial breaks.
The Godfather Epic premiered last night on HBO, but it's now available to watch on HBO GO through January 28th. I've included a brief promo spot for you to watch below. I've never seen any of the previous versions of this cut, so I'm excited that I have the opportunity to watch it now.
