HBO Max Picks Up The Action Series THE LEDGER Starring COBRA KAI's Xolo Maridueña

HBO Max has just acquired the action series project The Ledger, which stars Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña. Juan Carlos Coto is attached to write and executive produce the series along with Maridueña producing as well.

The story follows “the trials and travels of Gabriel (Maridueña), a young man who sets out into the world to right the wrongs of the deadly man who trained him. Using only the ledger kept by his predecessor, Gabriel travels from town-to-town, an avenging angel, fixing shattered lives.”

This seems like a great project for Maridueña to take on. He’s been landing some solid roles recently and is also attached to star in DC’s Blue Beetle movie. Once Cobra Kai comes to an end, it doesn’t look like he’ll have any difficulty finding any other acting work to keep him busy. It also seems like he’s choosing good projects for himself.

Coto has been an executive producer on projects such as the Fox series 9-1-1 and a consulting producer on 9-1-1: Lone Star. He also previously served as the showrunner on From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series at El Rey Network.
