HBO Releases New Photos For WESTWORLD Season 2 To Get Fans Excited

HBO has released several new photos from the highly anticipated second season of Westworld. They offer fans a little tease of what is to come. It was recently confirmed that several characters from Season 1 that we thought were dead or missing will be returning. You'll see a few of these characters in the photos below including Ed Harris' The Man in Black and Tessa Thompson's Charlotte Hale. Below the photos, I included a video that features the cast and crew talking about the series and their characters. One thing that Jeffery Wright has said is:

“The scale of season 2 is just nuts, literally right out of the gate. It’s so much more expansive, it makes the first season look like a gentile kitchen drama.”

Then there's creator Jonathan Nolan, who describes the Season 2 as a "journey outward":

“We want to feel like the show is rocketing ahead. The first season was a journey inward, this is a journey outward. It’s a search for what else is in the park, and what else is beyond the park.”

The photos don't really give anything away, but they some of them may raise some questions with the hardcore fans. Season 1 of the series was so well done and I hope that this second season will raise the bar.

The series is based on the film written and directed by Michael Crichton. It's a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and a reimagined past, the series explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

The photo below includes Maeve (Thandie Newton), Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman), Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Teddy (James Marsden), Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth), Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), and more. Here are the photos thanks to EW:

The ten-episode second season premieres Sunday, April 22 on HBO!
