HBO Renews THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES For Season 2
If you’ve been enjoying the first season of HBO’s comedy series The Righteous Gemstones, you’ll be happy to know that the cable network has renewed it for Season 2!
This has been a super entertaining and funny series which tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work. The show also has a great cast that includes creator Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Adam Devine, Walton Goggins, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz and Greg Alan Williams.
The series is written and directed by McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green. Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO Programming said in a statement:
“Danny, Jody and David are among our favorite collaborators and we’re thrilled that their take on a family comedy has been met with such enthusiasm. We cannot wait to share the next steps in the Gemstone family’s epic journey. Hallelujah!”
It’s great to know that this series will continue after Season 1 and while we still have yet to see how the first season comes to a close, I’m happy the crazy story of these characters will continue. If you’ve been watching the show, let us know if you’ve been enjoying it.
