HBO's Heartfelt Comedy SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE Gets a Season 3 Renewal
One of my very favorite series of the last couple of years is the HBO comedy Somebody Somewhere. The series stars comedian Bridget Everett as Sam, a middle-aged woman who returns to her family home in Kansas after the death of her sister, Holly. She reunites with high school friend Joel, played by the most charming Jeff Hiller, and tries to manage the drama of her family while figuring out her next steps in life.
Season 2 just ended, and it was as hilarious and heartfelt as the first, with Sam assisting her sister Tricia in picking up the pieces of her life post-divorce, after changing her business, and seeing her daughter off to college. Now, HBO has announced that we will be getting a third season, and I am so thrilled! The short seasons filled with half-hour-long episodes just fly by, so I’m hoping for a super-sized third chapter. We deserve it.
If you’re not yet caught up, the first two seasons of Somebody Somewhere are available to watch on Max now. Season 3 is expected to hit HBO next year.
