Heart-Pounding Super Bowl Spot for GHOST IN THE SHELL Features New Footage
With the Super Bowl coming up, it means we're going to get a slew of new TV spots and trailers for some of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. Today Paramount Pictures released an exciting Super Bowl spot for Ghost in the Shell, and it offers some incredibly cool new footage. One of the main scenes shown in the trailer shows Michael Pitt's Kuze confronting Scarlett Johansson's Major and tearing her face off, revealing the cyborg skeleton underneath, while telling her that her life was stolen.
Ghost in the Shell follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.
The cast of the film also includes Beat Takeshi Kitano as Daisuke Aramaki, Juliette Binoche as Dr. Ouelet, Pilou Asbæk as Batou, and Kaori Momoi. Some of the various members of Section 9 are played by Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo.
Ghost in the Shell is set to be unleashed in theaters March 31, 2017.
