HEARTHSTONE Announces Next Expansion and Updates

Hearthstone has revealed some details about its next expansion launching on August 3. Pre-purchases are live now, and the expansion is called “United in Stormwind.” The expansion brings 3-part quests to the game that provide you small rewards as you complete each part with a Legendary minion being summoned upon completion of all three. There’s also the new Tradeable keyword that allows you to put the card back into your deck for 1 mana and draw a new card that is hopefully more useful. Mounts are also entering the game as buffs that become summoned minions when the original rider is destroyed. Finally, Profession Tools are passive weapons that give you powers like boosting minions when another loses Divine Shield. You can find some of the new cards revealed below.

If you prefer the drafting format in Battlegrounds, you’ll find “the largest minion pool shakeup since launch” as well as new cosmetics to add flair to your Tavern. The Battlegrounds Bundle: Beach Party provides you with 7 portraits of heroes ready to spend some time in the sun, plus the new fully-voiced Bartender Tikilord Ragnaros. Meanwhile, the Battlegrounds Heroes: Shadowlands bundle provides 8 heroes reimagined as members of the Covenants including Finley of the Kyrian and Ysera of the Night Fae.

If you can’t wait for August, new Legendary quests and Tavern Brawls will be available from July 6-27 as well as new chapters for the Book of Mercenaries and Book of Heroes. Book of Mercenaries: Kurtrus will launch on July 13 while Book of Heroes: Gul’dan launches on July 20. You can play Hearthstone now on PC, Android, and iOS.
