Heavy and Emotional Trailer For WAVES with Sterling K. Brown
A moving trailer has been released for A24’s upcoming heavy drama, Waves. This looks like a great film and one that is going to be extremely emotional. With quotes like “Waves will tear your heart out”, you know it’s going to tell a heart-wrenching story.
The film comes from writer and director Trey Edward Shults (Krisha and It Comes at Night) and it has a great cast that includes Kelvin Harrison Jr., Lucas Hedges, Taylor Russell, Alexa Demie, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Sterling K. Brown.
"We are not afforded the luxury of being average," says Ronald; his upwardly mobile, African American family is anything but. A win-at-all-costs father, Ronald (Brown) drives his son Tyler (Harrison Jr.) to new heights in school and in sports. But after Tyler unravels, his sister Emily (Russell) is left to reconstruct her life amidst the ruins of her once-enviable family.
A24 will release Waves in select theaters starting November 1st, 2019.
