Henry Cavill Lays the Beatdown on a Group of Armored Guards in First Clip From THE WITCHER

Netflix revealed the first action-packed clip from their upcoming adaptation of The Witcher, and it features Henry Cavill as Geralt battling his way through a group of armored guards with a sword after Jodhi May’s Queen Calanthe barks out an order to kill him and Bart Edwards’s Duny.

It’s a pretty exciting clip, and it comes from the fourth episode of the series titled “Of Banquets, Bastards and Burials” which was directed by Alex Garcia Lopez and written by Declan de Barra.

Cavill is joined by Anya Chalotra (The ABC Murders, Wanderlust) as Yennefer and Freya Allan (The War of the Worlds, Into The Badlands) as Ciri. Here’s the synopsis for the series:

THE WITCHER is an epic tale of fate and family.  Be among the first to get the exclusive scoop on the highly anticipated new Netflix original series centering around famed monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia. Be introduced to the world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.
