Henry Cavill Would Love To Be The Next James Bond
The next James Bond movie, No Time To Die, is the final time that we’ll see Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond. After that, the character will be reinvented once again with a new actor playing the role. Henry Cavill has been on the top of a lot of fans lists as a replacement. The actor certainly has what it takes to play Bond, and Cavill himself would love to take on the role.
During a recent interview with GQ, Cavill explained:
“At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting. If Barbara [Broccoli] and [producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity.”
Cavill actually already did audition for the role prior to 2006’s Casino Royale. He was 22-years-old at the time, but he didn’t make the cut and Craig is the actor who landed the role. When talking about that experience, Cavill told Men’s Health in 2019:
“I remember the director, Martin Campbell, saying, ‘Looking a little chubby there, Henry’. I didn’t know how to train or diet. And I’m glad Martin said something, because I respond well to truth. It helps me get better.”
Cavill doesn’t really need the role of James Bond, he’s had an awesomely successful career without it. But if he ended up playing the next Bond, I’d be happy with the casting. What about you?
