HERCULES TV Spot - "Do I Look Afraid"
Whenever I hear a line like, "Do I look afraid?" I can't help but think there's a lot of insecurity inside the person that is saying it. Even if it is coming from the son of Zeus. A new TV spot has been released for Dwayne Johnson and Brett Ratner's Hercules. It's got a few new bits of footage but nothing that is going to get me excited to see this movie.
Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend. Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.
I do wish there was a Hercules movie that I could be excited about. I love the legend of Hercules! But, this just isn't doing it. It doesn't seem like it's doing it for anyone else either, which is kind of a shame because Johnson put a lot of time and effort into this movie.
