Here Are All of Crunchyroll's Announcements from Anime NYC
Over this past weekend, Anime NYC was held, and Crunchyroll made a number of announcements. First, we learned that the Anime Awards 2020 will be live-streamed on February 15, 2020. More information such as nominees will be revealed early 2020. Next, Crunchyroll-Hime, Crunchyroll’s mascot, will be making her 3D debut as she hangs out with virtual YouTuber Kizuna AI. Crunchyroll also revealed that they’ve teamed up with What’s Your Passion Jewelry to create a new jewelry collection based on characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero. This collection will be available early next year and feature ear cuffs, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and more. Fourth, it was announced that the anime streaming company is making a behind-the-scenes documentary about Food Wars and it will premiere in late November 2019. In addition, Crunchyroll announced some new titles that the platform will be adding dubs of. The titles include Ascendance of a Bookworm; If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord; Magical Sempai; and Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Penultimately, Crunchyroll revealed some information about Crunchyroll Expo 2020. Tickets will go on sale November 26 on the official site and it will be held in San Jose from September 4-6, 2020.
