Here Are My First Impressions of the GRAVITY HEROES Demo

The other day, we learned about a new 2D arcade shooter called Gravity Heroes. The game has some fun 16-bit graphics and the main pull is the ability and need to manipulate gravity. A free demo is available on Steam, and I loaded it up to see what the game was like. The full game will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 26, 2021.

Playing the game is interesting. I tried completing the tutorial, but I got to a section and it didn’t seem to be complete yet. It merely said “ASDASD” and when I tried pressing that, it didn’t do what it’s supposed to. So, there’s something that needs work, but I’m sure that’ll be solved before the full release.

After that failed experience in the tutorial, I loaded up the campaign. My favorite character was Magnus, and while the story isn’t really deep, the gameplay is fun. You fight off hordes of robots with upgrades and boosts being dropped every now and then. Working with the gravity manipulation is hard though and takes a lot of practice to get used to.

This game has some major potential, but I can also see fans getting really frustrated by the gravity changing mechanics. Have you tried out Gravity Heroes yet? What was your experience like?
