Here Are Some BATTLE FOR THE GRID Updates
There’s been a small bit of news regarding Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. The Battle for the Grid Fans Twitter account has apparently gotten some info that news about the DLC and possibly other pieces of news are ready to share by nWay, but Hasbro and Nintendo have to approve it all before it is actually shared. This has led to a lot of confusion since the Nintendo eShop said for a while that the Season Pass characters were being released a few days ago, but then nothing happened. Word going around the community is that the Season Pass has been moved to later this summer.
In addition, there was some confusion with the limited physical release since it indicated that new free characters were being added to the game. This appears to have been misinformation and those characters are simply the Season One Pass characters.
The final thing is that we have finally heard from the official Battle for the Grid Twitter account about the state of the game. Sort of. The tweet says that they’re going to have announcements at some point. I cannot stress how worried I am about this game. I’ve tried getting back into it and there is no one playing online. Combine that with how little is being shared (I’ve been informed that Hasbro is the real reason for this problem) and I’m worried. I do hope that this game is able to make a comeback and I hope that nWay, Hasbro, and everyone else involved takes the time between now and the release of Season One to hype the crap out of this game and get trailers out there so that journalists can share them and help build the hype.
One more note is that if you enjoy the game, check out the poll at the bottom tweet to cast your vote for what Rangers you think should be included in the game. It is unofficial, but a lot of fun. Voting ends June 30.
