Here Are Some Callbacks in INFINITY WAR to IRON MAN and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

As fans have more time to watch Avengers: Infinity War from the comfort of their own homes, more and more Easter eggs and the like are popping up. In fact, some fans are finding callbacks to earlier films. This, of course, is nothing special or unique, but it’s pretty cool. The first callback I’ll call attention to is from Reddit user DraftDraw and goes back to Iron Man. If you look, you’ll find similarities between the scene when Thanos stabs Tony Stark, and when Obadiah Stane takes the arc reactor from Tony. While Tony will most likely have a large role to play in Avengers 4, Infinity War was said to act as a bookend in the MCU after 10 years worth of films which makes this parallel very fitting.

The second callback goes to the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. Reddit user GODSPEED320 noticed that Star-Lord used the same device on Iron Man and Thanos in Infinity War as he used to get the Power Stone in Guardians.

In Avengers Infinity War the object used by Peter quill to trap Ironman is the same used by him to pull the Orb containing power stone from the tomb in Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1. from r/marvelstudios
