Here Are Some Highlights From Marvel Directors Joe and Anthony Russo's Live Q&A

The other day, there was a special screening of Avengers: Infinity War that included a Q&A with Marvel directors Anthony and Joe Russo. I wanted to go through some of the nuggets that we gleaned from this event.

The Netflix Characters Were Going to Be in the Film

Peter Sciretta from /Film was kind enough to send out some tweets with juicy details including the fact that characters like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage were originally going to be in Infinity War. However, in the end it became too complicated to coordinate everything between the films and the tv shows that were undergoing production.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Did Not Affect Avengers 4

Avengers 4 was finished filming before Guardians 3 was put on an indefinite hold. The Russos told the audience that the hold on Guardians 3 has had no bearing on Avengers 4.

Half of the Asgardians Died in the Snap

I didn’t realize this was a question, but the Russos confirmed that with the snap, half of the living Asgardians went bye-bye. That means that there are only about 25% of Asgardians remaining.

The Russos Wish They Could Have Saved Spider-Man

Even though the directing brothers are responsible for wiping out half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they still wish they could’ve saved one hero. When asked if there was a character they wish they could’ve saved, they responded that as fans, they would’ve saved Spider-Man.

Loki is Dead

I know that people think that Loki really disguised himself as the Hulk/Bruce Banner, but I do not buy it. I’ve always been a firm believer that Loki is in fact killed by the Mad Titan and the Russos confirmed it at the Q&A. Many of you will say that they’re just trying to misdirect us and not give anything away, but if that were the case, I think they would’ve given a more cryptic answer.

What did you think of these little answers? Are there any that stuck out to you? There’s plenty more info to be learned by jumping into Twitter threads such as that of Sciretta so peruse for more fun facts.
