Here's a Cool Behind-The-Scenes Video For Laika's Stop-Motion Animated Film MISSING LINK

One of the things that I love about Laika Studios is the fact that all of their movies are hand-made works of art. They are keeping stop-motion animation alive and relevant and they have been telling good stories with it! Laika is the studio behind Coraline, ParaNorman, and Kubo and the Two Strings, and Missing link looks like it’s going to be yet another great film from the studio.

Their next film is called Missing Link and today we have a very cool behind-the-scenes featurette that gives us a look at the work that went into making the movie. The movie includes interviews with the cast and crew and it also shows off some fun new footage.

Missing Link centers on Mr. Link, an 8 foot tall, 630 lb creature covered in fur, who happens to be funny, sweet, and adorably literal. “Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, our fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend.”

The film also has a great cast for the film that includes Hugh JackmanZach Galifianakis, Zoe SaldanaEmma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility), Stephen Fry (The Hobbit), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Matt Lucas (Alice in Wonderland), David Walliams (Little Britain), Amrita Acharia (Game of Thrones) and Ching Valdes-Aran (Nurse Jackie).

Missing Link was written and directed by Chris Butler (ParaNorman) and it will be released on April 19th, 2019. It’s said that the movie is “Bursting with humor, heart, and a profound message of acceptance and finding one’s place”.
