Here's a Video Breakdown of How ILM Pulled Off the Kessel Run in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY

Industrial Light & Magic head Rob Bredow recently teamed up with Screen Junkies to give us a video breakdown of the epic Kessel Run that was featured in director Ron Howard’s Solo: The Star Wars Story.

The video details the VFX and practical work that was put into developing this sequence. For years Star Wars fans wanted to see how Han made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, and we finally got it and it was so awesome! At least, I thought it was.

Now see how the ILM team came together to actually pull it off! There are a lot of details and interesting things pointed out in the video that I didn’t even notice before, so it’s worth your time to watch.

As an added bonus, I also included a video from ILM that takes a look at the creation of the droid character L3-37 in the film.
