Here's How STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON Could Have Won Big at The Oscars

Straight Outta Compton was one of the best movies about the creation of music I've ever seen, and along with Beasts of No Nation, the film was one of the poster children of the recent #OscarsSoWhite protest. Strong cases could be made that it should have been nominated for Best Picture and at least Best Supporting Actor for Jason Mitchell (Eazy-E), but that didn't happen. So Super Deluxe decided to recut a new trailer for the movie to show what it needed to be like in order for it to be a major Oscar contender (light spoilers and NSFW language ahead):

For your consideration: He wasn't afraid to take a chance, and became the most important figure in hip hop history. Two-time Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti ("Sideways") stars in "Straight Out of Compton," a biopic about hip-hop pioneer and N.W.A creator Jerry Heller, a courageous man who risked it all and sparked a music revolution.

Yep, that'd pretty much do it.
