Later this month, fans will be able to read Dune: House Atreides #3. This is the third chapter of the official comic book adaptation of the prequel to Frank Herbert’s popular sci-fi tale, Dune. The comic is written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson who wrote the prequel novel and features art by Dev Pramanik (Paradiso), colors by Alex Guimarães (Buffy: Every Generation), and letters by Ed Dukeshire (Once & Future).
Young Duncan Idado is given an ultimatum: escape or die. Meanwhile, Leto Atreides is introduced to the hyper-advanced city of Ix where his future will be shaped in unimaginable ways. The Planetologist Pardot Kynes ventures into the plains of Dune, and makes a destiny-altering discovery. And Reverend Mother Gaius Mohiam confronts Baron Harkonnen with a proposition he can’t refuse...
Fans can read House Atreides #3 starting December 23 with physical copies available from local comic shops and digital copies through comiXology, Google Play, iBooks, and Madefire. The main cover for the issue comes from Michael Walsh with Rod Reis providing a variant cover.
