HEROSCAPE Returns with HEROSCAPE: AGE OF ANNIHILATION Via HasLab Crowdfunding

Hasbro and Avalon Hill are bringing the beloved expanding war game Heroscape back to life with its first new set in over a decade. The new set is Heroscape: Age of Annihilation and is being funded via HasLab, Hasbro’s crowdfunding platform. If at least 8,000 pre-orders (at 1,940 as of writing) happen before November 16, then this will become a reality.

HEROSCAPE: AGE OF ANNIHILATION transports you to the next era of the popular expandable miniature wargaming system. It includes stunningly detailed miniatures that allow you to create your own rich world. Using modular tiles, you build sprawling battlefields on which to play out battles between powerful and unconventional factions pulled not only from Earth but also from other planets across the galaxy.

What is being sold is the Vanguard Edition for $249.99 which comes with 71 detailed miniatures, 50 army cards, an expandable hex-based tile terrain system, 5 original factions, customizable armies, and 20 game scenarios. That’s quite a lot. The five factions are as follows: the Dryan Lifeborne Order, the Nemesis War Brood, the Dawn Raider Syndicate, the Clockwork Combine, and the Ironclad Collective. For the terrain tiles, you’ll immediately have access to 74 base pieces, 68 wall pieces, and 9 jungle pieces to create multilevel landscapes for your epic battles.

Are you excited for a return to Valhalla and Heroscape? Will you be backing this project?
