Hideo Kojima Wants to Make a Revolutionary Horror Game That Will Make You Crap Your Pants
Hideo Kojima has proven to be a master video game creator and storyteller, and he’s got his mind set on developing a new horror game that will rock our world and thrust us into a complete nightmare.
During a recent interview with BAFTA, Kojima said that he would love to jump back into the horror genre and he’s got some revolutionary ideas in mind that he hopes will scare the living shit out of people… literally. He says:
“I’m easily frightened myself, so I have confidence that I could create something more terrifying than perhaps others could. I get frightened of things like darkness and imagine shadows of ghosts in the dark.
“P.T. ended as just an experiment, but I would like to make another horror game someday. Something that uses a revolutionary method to create terror, that doesn’t just make you pee your pants, but crap them. I already have ideas in mind.”
I hope he gets to make this game! I don’t know about you, but Kojima already scared the shit out of me with Silent Hill. Good grief, that game messed me up! My friends and I spent many late nights playing that game as we found ourselves freaking out. I would love to see Kojima capture that terrifying magic again with these ideas he has.
We don’t know what Kojima’s next game will be, but if he’s talking about a horror game… what he’s talking about here has got to be it!
It’s a shame that he never got to make that Silent Hills game he was developing. But, he’s obviously doing fine and will most likely end up delivering something even better.
