Hilarious Clip From THE SUICIDE SQUAD Shows Nathan Fillion‘s The Detachable Kid in Action!
For all of you who are excited about James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and are fans of Nathan Fillion, I’ve got a hilarious clip from the movie to share with you! This clip feature’s Fillion’s character, The Detachable Kid, in action! I love Harley Quinn’s reaction as she watches The Detachable Kid in action. This scene made me laugh and I can’t wait to see more!
In the clip, Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn and Joel Kinnaman‘s Rick Flag find themselves under heavy fire on a beach by a bunch of bad guys. So, The Detachable Kid a.k.a. TDK is dispatched to help them and the way this whole thing plays out is awesomely ridiculous.
The Detachable Kid is not a DC comics character, but the character was inspired by the character Arm Fall Off Boy. I have a feeling that The Detachable Kid isn’t going to last long. When you see his powers in action you’ll understand why. It’s not hard to imagine a character like this being killed off early on in the film, but we’ll see.
The movie stars Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Steve Agee as King Shark, and Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, Michael Rooker as Savant, Flula Borg as Javelin, Mayling Ng as Mongal, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Alice Braga as Sol Soria, Sylvester Stallone providing the voice of King Shark, Joaquín Cosío is Mayor General Mateo Suarez, Pete Davidson is Blackguard, Sean Gunn is Weasel, Jennifer Holland is Emilia Harcourt, and Storm Reid is Bloodsport's daughter, Tyla. Taika Waititi will also be in the film.
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Welcome to hell — a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.
Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and- destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.
The Suicide Squad is set for release on August 6, 2021.
