Hilarious SNL Short Parodies DEAD POETS SOCIETY

Robin WilliamsDead Poets Society is a favorite film of mine, and finally, after 19 years, SNL has made a hilarious comedy sketch parodying it. SNL’s season finale was hosted by former cast member Fred Armisen, and he takes on Williams' character in the sketch that amazingly recreates the iconic final scene of the film where everyone stands up on their desks exclaiming, “O Captain, my Captain!” The sketch is titled, “Farewell Mr. Bunting,” and if you are familiar with film, you’re going to enjoy this. This sketch is actually one of the best that I’ve seen all season. The big dramatic payoff comes at the end, so make sure you watch all the way through!

Mr. Bunting's (Fred Armisen) students (Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Jay Pharoah, Jon Rudnitsky, Pete Davidson) won't take his firing sitting down. A thank you to the wonderful Robin Williams.May he rest in Peace. The scene is taken from "Dead Poets Society" where the students tribute to their teacher Mr. Keating (Robin Williams) who taught them think different, to seize the day (carpe diem) and to stand up for what is right.
