Hilarious Trailer for FOCKER IN-LAW Starring Ariana Grande, Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro
The trailer for the fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise, Focker In-Law, debuted at CinemaCon this week.
Returning stars Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro welcomed newcomer Ariana Grande to the presentation, where both men discussed what an honor it was to welcome Grande to the fold, as De Niro called her “probably the single funniest scene partner I’ve ever been lucky enough to share the screen with,” while Stiller stared uncomfortably out to the crowd.
In the film, Grande plays the love interest to Stiller’s son, Henry (Skyler Gisondo), who is the newcomer this time around, failing to impress her future father in-law.
In her 2026 Actors on Actors conversation with Adam Sandler, Grande described her character as Stiller’s “son’s girlfriend, who he’s not sure of or connecting with.
“He’s very against me. And the worst part — his character’s nightmare is — I get along gorgeously with Robert De Niro’s character, Jack. He loves me, and I get immediate approval from the rest of the family.”
The trailer highlights this with great comedic timing, just like the original. Stiller and De Niro are joined by returning co-stars Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson. Other newcomers include Beanie Feldstein (Booksmart) and Eduardo Franco (Stranger Things).
