HIS DARK MATERIALS Season 2 Gets Release Date and Poster
HBO is getting ready to release the second season of His Dark Materials. The season appears to be an adaptation of the second book in the series, The Subtle Knife which might have been my favorite of the trilogy. I’m really excited and now we know that the season will be available on HBO Max starting November 16!
Season two of HIS DARK MATERIALS begins after Lord Asriel has opened a bridge to a new world, and, distraught over the death of her best friend, Lyra follows Asriel into the unknown. In a strange and mysterious abandoned city she meets Will, a boy from our world who is also running from a troubled past. Lyra and Will learn their destinies are tied to reuniting Will with his father but find their path is constantly thwarted as a war begins to brew around them. Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter searches for Lyra, determined to bring her home by any means necessary.
Dafne Keen will continue to star in the second season as Lyra and she is joined by returning cast members Ruth Wilson, Amir Wilson, Ariyon Bakare, Andrew Scott, Will Keen, Ruta Gedmintas, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. New members of the cast for season two include Terence Stamp, Jade Anouka, and Simone Kirby. His Dark Materials will air on HBO at 9 PM ET and will also be available via HBO Max.
