History Channel's Texas Rangers Series Stars Bill Paxton, Ray Liotta, and Brendan Fraser

The History Channel is set to develop a new series that will focus on the Texas Rangers. It's coming from the producer who brought us Hatfields & McCoys, so we're sure to be in for another awesome series.

The working title for the series is Texas Rising, and it will star Bill Paxton as Texas hero Sam Houston. So far the rest of the impressive cast includes Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Thomas Jane, Olivier Martinez, Chad Michael Murray, Michael Rapaport, and Max Thieriot.

According to Variety the series will center on "the Texas Revolution from Mexico and the resulting rise of the Texas Rangers." Series producer Leslie Greif had this to say in a statement:

“It’s exciting to be back working with History and Bill Paxton, a team that made television history with ‘Hatfields & McCoys,’ The battle for Texas independence was epic and really the battle for the future of America.”

The miniseries will be 8-hours long in total, and I think it's something to look forward too.
