HOBBS AND SHAW Character Motion Posters Released Ahead of Tomorrow's Trailer
While we wait for the first trailer for Hobbs and Shaw to drop tomorrow, we have a few character motion posters here for you to check out.
The posters here feature Dwayne Johnson and his three co-stars Jason Statham, Idris Elba, and Vanessa Kirby.
In the film, Hobbs and Shaw will team up to take down Elba’s character, Brixton, who is said to be “the baddest villain the franchise has ever seen.” Kirby is playing Shaw’s sister in the film, Hattie Shaw, and she will be helping her brother out. Deckard apparently isn’t very happy that his sister is hanging out with Hobbs.

David Leitch (Deadpool 2) is directing the film, and when previously talking about what we can expect from the movie, he teased:
“We’re going to go on an exciting ride with these two beloved characters of the franchise who were always at odds. I think of the classics like Lethal Weapon or 48 Hrs, or some of these ’80s and ’90s buddy-cop comedies – that dynamic was fostered in the original [Fast] franchise, we’re going to take it and expand the whole world around it.”
Fast and Furious franchise writer Chris Morgan wrote the script for the film, and while we don't know the story, Leitch explains that the film will steer away from the street racing and dive into the world of spies and government agents:
"We’re diving into their world. I think we want to have our own take on the Fast universe. It will definitely have elements of the original DNA, but it is more drifting into Shaw’s spy word and Dwayne’s agent world and, obviously, we want to build on their relationship, their conflict, their banter. That chemistry that they have between them, that’s sort of what’s driving the movie."
The movie will hit theaters on August 2, 2019.
