HOLD THE FORT Trailer Unleashes Hell as New Homeowners Face a Monster-Filled HOA Nightmare

Sunrise Films has released a new trailer for Hold the Fort, the upcoming horror-comedy from writer and director William Bagley, and it looks like buying your dream home might come with a few more complications than a leaky roof or bad neighbors.

Hold the Fort takes the everyday stress of homeownership and cranks it up to absurd and bloody extremes. The film follows Lucas and Jenny, a couple who believe they’ve finally achieved a major life milestone when they purchase a house of their own. Unfortunately, the property comes with a catch that no real estate agent would dare put in the listing.

According to the synopsis: “Lucas and Jenny think their life is finally coming together when the couple become homeowners. Little do they know that their new house comes with a big catch.

“Lucas and Jenny soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they become trapped in a battle between their Homeowners Association and an onslaught of monsters from hell. The horror-comedy takes the timely concern of home-ownership and wraps this up in an entertaining action-packed thrill ride.“

The newly released trailer teases exactly the kind of chaotic fun horror fans are hoping for. What starts as a bizarre HOA gathering tied to an equinox quickly spirals into a full-scale monster invasion.

"Blood flies, creatures emerge from the darkness, and ordinary homeowners are forced to become unlikely warriors just to survive the night.

The film stars Chris Mayers (Adult Swim Yule Log), Haley Leary (The Walking Dead), Levi Burdick, and Julian Smith. Along with directing, Bagley also produced the project alongside Smith, Matt Dodd, Luke Williams, and Tim Reis (Adult Swim Yule Log).

Ahead of the film’s release, Bagley shared what he hoped audiences would get out of the experience: “My goal with this film was to make a hilarious, fast-paced thrill ride while also telling a great story with heart. Hopefully, through all the blood, laughs, fights, and gags, you leave the film feeling inspired to tackle whatever life throws at you.“

Hold the Fort first premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival last summer before making additional stops at FrightFest London, Toronto After Dark, and Beyond Fest, where it continued building momentum among genre audiences.

Hold the Fort looks like the kind of horror-comedy that knows exactly what it wants to be: a fun monster-filled ride packed with laughs, action, and plenty of carnage. If you've ever wondered what would happen if an HOA meeting turned into a battle for humanity’s survival, this movie appears ready to provide the answer.

Hold the Fort lis now avilable to watch on digital platforms.
